What minerals are found in Orange NSW?
Gold and Copper.
When Australia’s first payable gold was discovered in Ophir in 1851, just 27km north east of Orange, it triggered the Australian gold rush.
Skip forward 170 years later and Orange is still rich in gold deposits and is home to Cadia Mine, the largest gold mine in Australia and the 7th largest in the world!
But it doesn’t stop there, Orange is also rich in Copper and Cadia is also the 2nd largest copper producing mine in Australia.
Through the exploration drilling process, we help clients in the local Orange mining industry discover mineral-rich drilling sites and ore deposits.
